Before the appointment Record where water first appeared, with dates and safe photographs. Gather earlier drainage, plumbing and sump-system records. List the observations separately from your assumptions about the cause. During the assessment Ask which water path the findings support and what remains unknown. Request a description of the collection point, equipment and discharge route. Before approving work Identify responsibility for design, approvals, electrical work and inspections. Compare access, removal, restoration, exclusions and change-order terms. Read the warranty conditions and required maintenance. After the work Keep the final component list, completion checks and owner instructions. Record follow-up contacts and any unresolved work or questions. This checklist organizes questions and records. It does not certify the work or replace a qualified assessment and the responsible authority’s requirements.
